Role Overview
We are looking for an ESG professional with approximately 1 year of experience to support Environmental & Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) and Environmental & Social Due Diligence (ESDD) activities for renewable energy (Solar and Wind Asset) projects.
The role will involve coordinating with internal project teams, external consultants, supporting data collection and review, discussions and resolving lender and stakeholder's queries, and identifying environmental and social risks; tracking mitigation measures; and assisting in the preparation of Preliminary ESIA, and review of ESIA/ESDD reports in line with applicable regulatory requirements and applicable E&S standards, and implementation of management plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate ESIA/ESDD studies with external consultants and internal project teams.
  • Review project information, layouts/KMZs, land details, permits, and E&S documentation.
  • Support preparation of Preliminary ESIA and review of ESIA/ESDD reports.
  • Identify and track environmental and social risks, gaps, and mitigation measures.
  • Support review of key E&S aspects including land, biodiversity, water, labour, H&S, community impacts, stakeholder engagement and cultural heritage.
  • Review compliance with applicable Indian regulations, IFC Performance Standards, Equator Principles and lender requirements.
  • Participate in site visits and document E&S observations.
  • Coordinate responses to lender, investor, consultant and stakeholder queries.
  • Track implementation of ESMPs, CAPs and E&S commitments.
  • Maintain E&S trackers, risk registers, dashboards and project documentation.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, ESG, Social Sciences, Geography or related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in ESG, ESIA/ESDD, E&S consulting, sustainability or renewable energy.
  • Basic understanding of IFC Performance Standards and E&S risk management.
  • Good report writing, analytical and coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites.
