About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented professional to lead the Revenue & Billing function for our power sale and O&M business. The role will be responsible for end-to-end revenue lifecycle management, including billing, collections, MIS reporting, and stakeholder coordination, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong cash flow management.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Management & Billing
- Own the end-to-end revenue cycle for Power Sale and O&M, ensuring accurate and timely billing in line with contractual (PPA) terms.
- Ensure 100% billing of energy generation, including deemed generation, escalation clauses, and other applicable charges.
- Oversee accurate computation and invoicing of:
- Late payment surcharge / interest
- Deemed generation charges
- Early payment discounts
- Ensure all billing entries are accurately recorded and reconciled with accounting systems.
MIS & Reporting
- Lead preparation and dissemination of MTD, YTD, quarterly, and annual revenue MIS.
- Build and maintain analytical dashboards based on energy generation (utility-scale & rooftop).
- Provide actionable insights on revenue trends, variances, and performance metrics to leadership.
Collections & Receivables
- Drive collections efficiency and ensure timely realization of receivables.
- Monitor aging and overdue balances, and proactively initiate recovery actions.
- Publish collections and overdue MIS with clear action plans, accountability, and timelines.
Stakeholder Management & Issue Resolution
- Collaborate with Asset Management, O&M, Billing, Business Development, Regulatory, and Projects teams for seamless operations.
- Lead resolution of disputed / complex billing and collection cases, ensuring closure and recovery.
- Engage with customers to address queries, disputes, and escalations effectively.
Project Onboarding & Process Excellence
- Support onboarding of new projects/customers, ensuring smooth transition and timely issuance of first invoices.
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives (SAP / S4 HANA or equivalent systems) to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Establish and strengthen internal controls, SOPs, and governance frameworks within the billing and revenue function.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong working knowledge of SAP / S4 HANA or similar ERP systems
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (data analysis, dashboards, automation)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- High level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
Qualification & Experience
- 5–10 years of experience in Revenue, Billing, Accounts Receivable, or Revenue Cycle Management
- Prior experience in renewable energy / infrastructure / EPC / power sector preferred
- CA / MBA (Finance) preferred
