Role Objective

To lead land acquisition and government liaisoning activities for renewable energy projects, ensuring timely availability of land, statutory approvals, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Land Acquisition
  • Identify and finalize suitable land parcels for solar/wind projects
  • Conduct land due diligence including title verification, zoning, and feasibility
  • Negotiate with landowners, aggregators, and local stakeholders for land procurement (purchase/lease)
  • Execute land agreements, registration, and documentation
Liaisoning & Approvals
  • Liaise with government authorities (revenue, forest, local administration, DISCOMs, etc.)
  • Obtain necessary approvals, permits, and clearances for project development
  • Manage conversion of land (NA, agricultural to industrial, etc.)
  • Handle ROW (Right of Way) issues for transmission and access
Regulatory & Documentation
  • Ensure compliance with state policies and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain all land records, agreements, and approval documentation
  • Track status of applications and proactively resolve bottlenecks
Stakeholder Management
  • Build strong relationships with local communities, authorities, and partners
  • Manage on-ground issues including disputes, encroachments, and resistance
  • Coordinate with internal teams (Project, Legal, BD, EPC) for seamless execution

Must Have Skills

  • Strong experience in land acquisition and local liaisoning in Gujarat
  • Deep understanding of land laws, revenue processes, and approvals
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work in remote project locations

Good to Have

  • Experience in renewable energy (solar/wind) projects
  • Local language proficiency (Gujarati)
  • Existing network with local authorities and land aggregators
