Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Direct Tax professional (B.Com) to manage tax compliance, assessments, and operational tax matters under the Income Tax Act, 1961. The role involves working closely with finance teams and external consultants in a listed renewable energy environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end direct tax compliance including preparation of tax computations, advance tax workings, and income tax return filings.
  • Handle TDS compliance, reconciliations (Form 26Q/24Q), lower deduction certificates, and related reporting.
  • Coordinate for tax audits, documentation, and schedules required for statutory and internal reviews.
  • Track and respond to income tax notices, assessment proceedings, rectifications, and appeals in consultation with tax advisors.
  • Support tax provisioning data preparation and reconciliations for financial reporting purposes.
  • Maintain tax registers, compliance calendars, and ensure timely closure of action points.
  • Assist in basic tax research and implementation of changes in tax laws impacting business operations.
Desired Candidate Profile
  • B.Com graduate with 5–6 years of hands-on experience in Direct Tax compliance
  • Strong working knowledge of Income Tax Act, TDS provisions, and return filing processes
  • Experience in listed company / power / infrastructure / consulting firm preferred
  • Good command over Excel and tax/ERP utilities
  • Detail-oriented with ability to manage timelines and stakeholder coordination.
