Role Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Land Acquisition Assistant Lead to join our team for renewable energy projects in Rajasthan. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in land acquisition and liaison activities, specifically in the solar and wind energy sectors. Local candidates who are fluent in Hindi/ Marwari and have a strong understanding of the legal, regulatory, and land-related frameworks in Rajasthan are preferred.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage land acquisition activities for renewable (solar and wind) projects across Rajasthan.
- Identify, evaluate, and secure suitable land parcels through direct purchase or lease arrangements.
- Coordinate and liaise with landowners, local authorities, government bodies, and legal advisors to facilitate land acquisition.
- Ensure thorough due diligence, including title verification, mutation, and conversion of land for project development.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders at the village, district, and state levels to smoothen acquisition processes.
- Be well-versed with legal documentation, regulatory procedures, and compliance requirements related to land and renewable energy projects in Rajasthan.
- Prepare and maintain land acquisition reports, status trackers, and documentation for internal and external audits.
- Support regulatory approval processes, including coordination with revenue departments, DISCOMs, and other statutory bodies.
- Assist in obtaining necessary no-objection certificates (NOCs), land use clearances, and conversion certificates.
- Handle liaison activities with local administration, regulatory agencies, and community stakeholders to ensure seamless project development.
- Resolve land-related issues and risks during the lifecycle of the project.
Skills Required:
- Graduate degree in any discipline; preference for candidates with a legal or land-related academic background.
- 2–4 years of experience in land acquisition and liaison roles, preferably in the renewable energy sector (solar or wind).
- Strong understanding of Rajasthan’s land acquisition policies, regulatory approvals, and legal frameworks.
- Fluency in Marwari (mandatory) and working knowledge of Hindi / English.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to independently manage fieldwork, travel frequently within Rajasthan, and engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Knowledge of title due diligence, land documentation, and local revenue records.
