Role Objective
The role is responsible for end-to-end rooftop solar and BESS detailed engineering, including site assessments, client and internal coordination, preparation of detailed designs, and compliance with grid codes and standards to support presales and project execution.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
1. Site Visits & Client Coordination
- Coordinate with clients for site visits as per proposal and detailed engineering requirements.
- Plan and conduct site visits to collect roof, structural, and electrical data required for engineering.
- Ensure accurate and complete site data collection for design and execution teams.
2. Stakeholder & People Coordination
- Arrange and participate in client meetings along with the BD team for presales and post-sales support.
- Coordinate with internal technical teams for data sharing and knowledge transfer.
- Liaise with HSE and Asset Management teams for design approvals.
- Coordinate with internal operations teams for smooth data and document handover.
- Prepare weekly progress and update reports and present them to the Regional Manager.
3. Detailed Engineering & Design
- Maintain project documentation including OTM, Scope Matrix, KOM documents for reference.
- Prepare Module Design Layout (MDL) and detailed Design Reports.
- Ensure designs comply with local Grid Codes, relevant international standards, and statutory requirements.
- Develop detailed plant layouts, Single Line Diagrams (SLD), and all GFC drawings.
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in AutoCAD (including shortcut keys).
- Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM), earthing reports, ESMS documentation, and other detailed design deliverables.
- Validate component drawings submitted by manufacturers.
- Perform client load profile analysis for BESS capacity calculations.
- Lead BESS detailed design, including:
- Battery chemistry selection
- Power converter selection
- EMS & BMS schematic definition
