The role involves preparing design calculations, reviewing drawings, coordinating with geotechnical inputs, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and project specifications. The engineer will also support site execution teams and contribute to design standardization for repeat use across projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out structural analysis and design of solar PV mounting structures using Indian and international codes.
  • Prepare design calculations for steel members, connections, and foundations (piles/RCC pedestals) considering wind, seismic, and other loads.
  • Develop and review GA drawings, fabrication drawings, and foundation layouts in coordination with the drafting team.
  • Incorporate soil parameters from geotechnical reports into foundation design and finalize pile depths.
  • Perform load optimization and value engineering for safe and cost-effective structural solutions.
  • Validate vendor drawings, design submissions, and technical datasheets for compliance with specifications.
  • Provide design-related support to site execution teams, issue clarifications, and resolve site constraints.
  • Assist in design standardization and create typical design details for repeat use across projects.

Requirements:

  • Qualification: B.Tech / Bachelor of Engineering in Civil / Structural Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in civil structural design of rooftop solar mounting structures.
  • Strong knowledge of structural analysis and design codes (Indian & international).
  • Proficiency in design software and coordination with drafting teams.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
