Role Objective
The Head – Procurement (Asset Management) will be responsible for strategic and operational procurement of spares, services, and contracts required for solar and wind asset operations, ensuring high plant availability, cost optimization, vendor reliability, and compliance across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Procurement & Cost Optimization
- Develop and execute procurement strategy for solar & wind asset management (O&M phase).
- Drive cost reduction initiatives, long-term rate contracts, and value engineering.
- Manage annual procurement budgets and savings targets.
- Ensure optimal inventory planning to avoid plant downtime.
2. Vendor & Contract Management
- Build and manage a strong vendor ecosystem for:
- Spares (electrical, mechanical, civil)
- O&M services
- AMC / SLA-based contracts
- Spares (electrical, mechanical, civil)

- Lead contract negotiations, renewals, and performance reviews.
- Ensure vendors meet quality, safety, and turnaround time standards.

3. Asset Management Support (Solar & Wind)
Work closely with Asset Management, O&M, and Engineering teams to understand site-level needs.
Ensure timely availability of critical spares for breakdowns and preventive maintenance.
Support lifecycle management of assets to maximize plant uptime and generation.
4. Governance, Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to procurement policies, audit requirements, and compliance standards.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, single-vendor dependencies, and critical spares risks.
- Support internal and external audits related to procurement and contracts.
5. Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Lead and mentor a pan-India procurement team supporting solar & wind assets.
- Define roles, KRAs, and performance metrics for the team.
- Drive process standardization and digitalization of procurement workflows.

- Act as a key interface with:
