Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced and driven Procurement Head to lead procurement and supply chain operations for our projects across the Middle East (UAE, Bahrain, and KSA), based out of Mumbai. This role will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sourcing plans, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring cost-efficient, compliant procurement aligned with regional and organizational requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies tailored to the Middle East region while aligning with global procurement standards.
- Manage the complete procurement lifecycle: sourcing, vendor evaluation, negotiations, contracting, and performance monitoring.
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with suppliers and contractors in the UAE, Bahrain, and KSA.
- Analyze market trends, pricing patterns, and geopolitical or regulatory developments impacting sourcing decisions.
- Ensure adherence to internal control procedures, anti-bribery standards, code of conduct, and risk mitigation frameworks.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams including operations, finance, accounts, and legal to streamline procurement operations.
- Lead, mentor, and support the regional procurement team to achieve performance and cost targets.
Key Requirements:
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in procurement and supply chain management, preferably in the Middle East region.
- Proven track record in strategic sourcing, vendor development, and contract negotiations.
- Strong understanding of regional compliance, customs, trade, and regulatory frameworks.
- Proficient in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle or equivalent).
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a cross-cultural, fast-paced, and matrixed organizational setup.
- Preferred Background:
- Experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, EPC, or industrial sectors.
- Exposure to procurement in GCC countries with knowledge of local supplier markets.
